Whitney Family Care

Located in Lapeer County, Michigan

What we do:

At Whitney Family Care, we collaborate with local Community Mental Health Departments in the following counties (Lapeer, Oakland, Genessee, Sanilac). Our specialization lies in providing care for individuals with cognitive impairments. For residents enrolled in one of the community programs, we accept maximum state payment. Additionally, we welcome private pay for individuals who are not enrolled in a program.

Our goal is to create a family-like environment by offering our residents a clean, safe, loving environment. We provide them with meals, snacks, laundry, and all Doctor prescribed medications. Residents have their own living room to socialize and watch TV. All of our residents receive annual physicals and we accompany them to any additional appointments needed.

Who we are

Michelle & Brandon Whitney,

Owners and Operators.

Michelle and Brandon Whitney, the owners and operators, have shared 30 years together and have been married for 27 years. Prior to launching our Adult Foster Care (AFC home), they each earned an Associate’s degree in Applied Science. Brandon holds a Radiation Technician Certificate and Michelle has a Paralegal Certificate. Both are both CPR Certified.

Their journey began with volunteering in a family-owned and operated in home Adult Foster Care. In 2012, dear friends presented them with the opportunity to purchase their beautiful, spacious home located on 15 secluded acres in Lapeer County. Their intentions were clear - to establish an AFC home business. They wholeheartedly embraced this opportunity and have remained fully operational, dedicated to providing a loving, caring home for those in need of their services.
